The second
year of our teaching
stint in Beirut we moved to a much nicer apartment in the recently
refurbished downtown area of Solidere, next to the Parliament building.
While it was a bit further from school, it was in a nice urban area
with shops and restaurants. We have recreated this virtual tour from
really small panoramas, and the resulting tour image is a bit fuzzy.
The memories of our time there, however,
remain very clear. The photo
to the right shows the busy shopping district near our apartment. (The
site that hosted the panorama is no longer functioning, so we made a
