New Zealand VR Tours

Welcome to the Virtual Tour Section
There are limited opportunities for virtual tour creation on our New Zealand trip simply becaues the scope of the visits (entire cities or parks) is too large to catalogue and explain everything that we saw. However were a few sites on the trip that lent themselve to creating tour. These are listed below.

[Clicking on the link above the tour will take you directly to the hosting site, while clicking on the 360 logo in the middle of the tour will allow you to take the tour while remaining on this page]

The Hamilton Gardens, Hamilton, New Zealand
The Hamilton Gardens Occupy over 100 acres in the town of the same name. Two particular gardens are the focus of these virtual tours. First is the Paradise Collection, a group of formal gardens from different time periods and cultures. The second virtual tour covers the Fantasy Collection, a group of gardens that draw upon ideas from art, history, literature and music, bringing those ideas to light within a natural setting.

Omaka Heritage Aviation Museum, Blenheim
If you are an aviation buff, the Omaka Heritage Museum is a "must see" on a trip to New Zealand. There are two exihibits in the Aviation Museum, The first, "Knights of the Sky" features World War I planes, many donated by Sir Peter Jackson of Lord of the Rings fame. The second exhibit is a collection of World War II aircraft, sourced and maintained by the museum's trust. Both exibits feature the warplanes in situ, linking a particular craft to a particular wartime event. For example there is a diorama capturing the moment the Red Baron was downed. These historical tales make the museum that much more interesting.

Te Pa Pa Tongwera
Te Pa Pa Tongawera, located in Wellington, is New Zealand's national museum. It offers two types of experiences. The first four flours contain the permanent exhibits that focus on the geology, geography, history and culture of the region and its peoples. The remainder of the upper floors are dedicated to temporary art exhibits and installations. This Virtual tour covers the museum's permanent collections.
