This portion of our tour of India began in Uttar Pradesh, located in north central India. We landed in India's capital city of Delhi, staying overnight at the Park Hotel. Early the next morning we embarked for Agra, via train, to visit some of India's most impressive monuments: the Taj Mahal, Akbar's abandoned capital city of Fatehpur Sikri, and the Red Fort.
