The Cave Monastery Complex at Dambulla

Located in the central hills of Sri Lanka the Dambulla complex includes an impressive Buddhist stupa and museum located at road level. The museum and entrance complex have been buildt since our last visit in 1998. The key attraction, however, remains the Dambulla Caves, a considerable climb up winding steps to the summit of the mountain.
