Phraya Nakhon Temple is one of the attractions of Sam Roi Yot National Park, very close to where we have our holiday house in Thailand, and it is a prime tourist attraction in the region. Accessed via Laem Sala beach, just a few kilometers south of Dolphin Bay, visitors may take a boat from the beach or follow and overland trail to reach the cave. It is a 430-meter rock-strewn ascent to the top of the mountain, to the cave entrance. Their are actually two caves, and the second one features the Khuha Kharuehat Pavilion (photo to the left), located on a mound directly below an opening in the limestone cave. Although it is an arduous climb, visiting the Phraya Nakhon Temple cave is well worth the effort. The main features of the cave complex are detailed in the 360-degree virual tour below.
