Galle: Sri Lanka's Beautiful Southwest Coast

It is a 3 1/2 hour journey to cover the 116 kilometers (about 70 miles) down the Galle Road to reach the Dedalla/Galle area. It was to this port at the tip of Ceylon that some of the world's great explorers sailed, and it was here from here that the Portuguese and Dutch plied their spice trade. Modern day travelers seek out Galle for its beautiful coastline.
